AI Usage Policy

Hello Cleared Hot players,

I wanted to write a clear page regarding how we use and how we don't use AI in our game. This is a strange period in time- I don't claim to know the right answer here- but I want to be transparent as we figure out how to work with these new tools.

Cleared Hot's codebase was hand built over 5 years, starting with me learning Unity in 2020. Now we do use AI tools for debugging, writing code, and workflow automation.

All final art, models, animations, audio, and visual assets in Cleared Hot are created by human artists. We've hired illustrators, UI designers, 3D artists, concept artists, and a great sound designer.

Like any evolving topic, I prefer to try to understand as much as possible and just keep up a conversation. This means using the tools and updating our policy over time. I think this needs a nuanced discussion and this is the start of my effort to have one!
